What is Jazz Funk?
Jazz Funk (also referred to as street jazz) is a mixture of hip-hop and jazz dance. Simply put, not only will dancers learn street style dance, they will also learn the technique that jazz has to offer. Jazz Funk gives dancers the freedom to have fun, express themselves, turn their personality into movement and dance FIERCLEY!

Jade was born in Prince George's County, Maryland where she started dancing at the age of 8 at DanceMakers Inc. She is trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, jazz funk, modern, African, lyrical, poms, cheer and musical theater. Not only was Jade a studio and competitive dancer, she also attended the Visual Performing Arts program at Suitland High School and later majored in Dance and Communications at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. Jade has had an extensive career performing and choreographing in various shows and large productions with various companies, programs and recording artists. Not only has dance kept her grounded and allowed her to express herself freely, it has given her many once in a lifetime opportunities. Jade believes in training up confident, well rounded dancers in a traditional dance class setting so no matter where your dancer goes he/she will be able to shine!
